The county town of Essex, Chelmsford lies on the Can and Chelmer rivers, a car journey of about 32 miles from the centre of London. Chelmsford boasts a populace of approximately one hundred and eleven thousand occupants, and the Borough of Chelmsford has roughly 168,300.
